Born as Caroline Montagne on February 16, 1973, in Paris, France, Rebecca Lord is a prominent French adult film actress, director, and producer. Before entering the adult entertainment industry in 1993, she worked as a make-up artist.
Her career began after she answered a newspaper advertisement, initially appearing under aliases such as Rebecca Carre and Rebecca Bruns. Her permanent stage name was an accidental variation of "Rebecca Lords" — a tribute to Traci Lords — after a director mistakenly omitted the "s" in her film credits. Throughout her career, she has performed in hundreds of adult films and achieved mainstream recognition through her appearance in George Michael's music video for "Outside" and the independent film I Am a Sex Addict.
In addition to her work in front of the camera, she established her own production company, Rebecca Lord Productions, and was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame in 2013. She has been married to Philippe Montagne since June 1994.
