Élodie Yung, born on February 22, 1981, in Paris, France, to a Cambodian father and French mother, began her career as an actress at age 29 after earning a law degree. She started with roles in French television series like 'La vie devant nous' (2002) before gaining international recognition for her portrayal of Elektra Natchios in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Netflix series 'Daredevil' (2016) and 'The Defenders' (2017). She has also appeared in films like 'G.I. Joe: Retaliation' (2013), 'Gods of Egypt' (2016), and 'Secret Society of Second-Born Royals' (2020). In 2022, she started starring as Thony in the Fox series 'The Cleaning Lady'. Yung has a daughter born in August 2018 with actor Jonathan Howard.
